WORK from In
[side] Out
Drawing series February 23, 2005 – February
23, 2006
Selected drawings from daily
work over a year's time.
Working at my "haunt"– a table in the back of Tryst coffee
house, Adams Morgan, I make/made entries in a bound text of
handmade paper from Tibet.
Most works are a single day's entry; although some spill
over to a second and (rarely) a third day.
Each drawing is related to the next with some changes that
grow out of the prior entry.
The volume begun in 2005 is the first to be broken for
single page framing purposes.
I suspect that there are physical and psychological energies
that drive my work, although I don’t have a conscious plan
prior to working except in that media and format are
present.
The choice to work in a coffee house with all its inherent
structure allows me to work in a vibrant atmosphere.
